Creative With Carafes!

Most restaurants sell specialty beverages by the glass or bottle. But what if you want more than one glass, but can’t finish the whole bottle? Or what if you’d like to share tastes of beverages with a few friends?

Well, that’s what carafes are for. Carafes are used in wine service to allow the wine to breathe quicker and therefore taste better quicker. If a bottle sits after it has been open it could take the oxygen up to an hour to be incorporated into the wine. Using a carafe decanters the wine, allowing oxygen to penetrate quicker, smoothing out the wine.

But why not go further than just wine – carafes can include mixed drinks, beer and even lemonade or smoothies. These are perfect for both an individual, or a table wanting to share a few different options. They allow guests to self-serve, and often times they will feel like they got more of their money’s worth.

Not to mention, carafes look so elegant sitting atop a table. Revamp your drink menu just in time for fall to include your specialty carafes!
